Jason Grant and James Taylor sing Mozart Requiem in Houston
Tenor James Taylor and bass-baritone Jason Grant joined Hans Graf and the Houston Symphony for a bold reading of the Mozart Requiem.
In other spring dates, Jason Grant appeared with the Alabama Symphony for Mendelssohn's Die erste Walpurgisnacht, and last weekend sang both the Requiem and the Zemlinsky Frülingsbegräbnis with the Phoenix Symphony. Next up, he reunites with JoAnn Falletta to sing the Brahms Requiem with the Buffalo Philharmonic.
Next month James Taylor repeats the Mozart Requiem with Graf and the Detroit Symphony. He joins Nikolaus Harnoncourt and the Concentus Musicus Wien for Mozart's "Il Sogno di Scipione" and sings Mendelssohn's Paulus with the Orchestra Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi in Milano. (March 2010)

October hears bass-baritone Jason Grant in performances throughout the U.S. He began the month with Louis Langrée and the Houston Symphony, singing Beethoven Symphony No. 9, and then joined JoAnn Falletta and the Virginia Symphony for a critically acclaimed Brahms Requiem: “He shaped every phrase carefully, using clear diction and dramatic presentation to get at deeper meaning. In balance with the orchestra, his softest singing had the effect of fine chamber music while he became more operatic with his full force.” The Virginian-Pilot, Oct. 12, 2009. This week Grant sings the Mozart Requiem with the San Diego Symphony and Jahja Ling, and then reunites with Robert Spano and the Atlanta Symphony for Stravinsky’s Le Rossignol (also featuring Colbert soprano Celena Shafer) for dates in Athens, GA, and at Carnegie Hall. JASON GRANT sings Mahler with Maazel
 After beginning 08/09 at Mostly Mozart, bass-baritone JASON GRANT wraps the season back at Lincoln Center, singing Pater Profundis in Mahler 8 next week, for Lorin Maazel's final concerts as music director of the New York Philharmonic.
Next up Mr. Grant joins Carlos Kalmar and the Grant Park Festival Orchestra for Beethoven 9. Highlights of Fall 2009 include the Brahms Requiem with Joann Falletta and the Virginia Symphony, Stravinsky’s Le Rossignol with Robert Spano and the Atlanta Symphony (in Atlanta, Athens, GA and on the road at Carnegie Hall) and the Mozart Requiem with the San Diego Symphony. Baritone JASON GRANT sings at Seattle Opera, debuts with the New York Phil, and the St. Louis and Milwaukee symphony orchestras
Baritone JASON GRANT began the New Year in Boston, joining the Handel & Haydn Society for Shakespearean Baroque Arias and duets conducted by Philip Pickett. This month Mr. Grant returns to the Seattle Opera for Angelotti in Tosca.
March finds him making his debut with the New York Philharmonic in the Kurt Masur-led St. Matthew Passion, followed by a debut with the Saint
Louis Symphony as Don Fernando in concert performances of Fidelio led by David Robertson (CELENA SHAFER sings Marzelline.)
In another debut this season, Mr. Grant joins Andreas Delfs and the Milwaukee Symphony for Bach's Mass in B Minor.
Other upcoming highlights include a June return to the New York Philharmonic for concert performances of Tosca conducted by Lorin Maazel, and his Mostly Mozart debut in August in Mozart's Mass in C Minor led by Louis Langrée. (February 2008)
